best dad ever!!!

Tonight Layne proclaimed it was a Julie night and so he took the kids with him. I was in the house for a whole two hours by myself. I finished a book and watched a bit of TV. I still managed to finish the vaccuuming and most of the laundry. What a great man. Jake and Lauren want nothing to do with me now. They want to hang out with Daddy. I personally proclaim tomorrow night Julie night, and the next, and the next.....

I love fall

I love fall!! It is the best time of the year. It is the time that I feel totally at peace. I love the crispness in the air and the rainy days. I love the fall leaves especially. I can't wait to drive up the canyon and see them. Lauren says this is one of her favorite times too. I know Jake is loving it, because he has started this new thing. He loves to go on walks. We walk down to the corner. (which is about three houses away.) We turn the corner to the first house and then turn back around and head home. He walks the whole way by himself. I have to walk behind him so he doesn't think I am racing him. He is finally started wearing shoes and so he can't go too fast in them yet. He still loves to be barefooted though. As soon as we are in the car or at home the shoes and socks come right off. He is such a darling boy. I can't believe all of the crazy things he comes up with.
