Christmas yea!!!

i can't believe how fast this time of the year goes. christmas can't come yet. i'm not ready. i just can't seem to get with it this year. i feel so unorganized. i am excited for this time of year though. it always brings me back to when i was a kid. i loved christmas growing up. my parents always made it a special time. they make it special now too. i hope lauren and jake enjoy this season not only now but as they get older and look back on the hopefully fun times we have. i am grateful for the birth of our savior and his sacrifice for us. he is truely a wonderful older brother.
jon and tenille shared some great and wonderful news with us. they are going to have a baby!!!! i am so excited and can't wait to spoil them. they deserve all the happiness of this new little baby.

thankfulness and blessings

i know i haven't posted for awhile, but it is so hard to type one handed.
we have been so blessed this past year with a darling baby boy that we thought we would never have. he is such a miracle to us. we know he was to come to our family because of the joy we receive from him. he has come into our family with a small challenge that has turned out to be nothing. he has torticolis or tightening of the muscle in the neck. he has been going to therapy for it and even a trip to primary childrens where they told us he wouldn't require anything from them. thank goodness. he is doing so well that the physical therapist says he holds his head up like a 6 month old. we are truely blessed in this situation that could have turned into a nightmare for him. this situation proves that with prayer and patience, something that mommy is so low on lately, anything can happen.

random thoughts

do we ever realize how precious our children are? the other night lauren, jake and i were riding in the car, jake was screaming at the top of his lungs. (he hates to be in the carseat because no one is holding him.) anyway, lauren looked at him and said, you know mom, maybe he just misses jesus. don't we all sometimes?

my little family is the greatest. layne is such a great husband who puts up with the craziest wife in the world. i seriously think he didn't realize what he was getting into. oh to be blinded by love. lauren is a drama queen who loves all things fashion. we went shopping the other day and i showed her a shirt. she told me it wasn't fashion enough. jake is my darling baby boy. he is the best little boy in the world. he smiles so cute and loves to be snuggled. I love them all.

Someday my prince will come

i know it is late, but i'm waiting for my prince to come . ha, ha. he is off riding his tall, shining combine.
my man is a total farmer. he loves to be out in the dirt and grease. you wouldn't believe how filthy he is when he returns home. he is so happy though, just like a little kid. he is a good man. i love him.

ok so here i go. i have no idea what i'm doing, but i don't want to be left out of the sisterhood.

today is friday, yea, and i am looking forward to this weekend. sunday we will bless our new baby boy, jake. i am looking forward to getting together with family and seeing my baby boy in his darling little white outfit. He is the sweetest baby boy ever. I am so lucky to be his mom.
yesterday my lauren turned six. she is such a big helper. we went to build a bear workshop and she played in the fountain at the gateway. she had so much fun. she is my world.
